Duke | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier
Duke, Staffie, DOB ?09 - Gatwick Homing
Requirements: Duke requires a stable family around him on which he can depend
and learn their expectations and receive guidance. He may be able to live with
another dog or possibly cats. He will probably, given time and training, be
trusted off lead. His
Story: Duke came to us via the police so his owner may have gone inside and no
friend or family were available to take him on. Duke is around 2 years old. Now
neutered and under going vaccinations etc.
Advert:
Duke is a clown in the best possible way. He was put on this earth to make you
laugh but this is always followed up with care and affection. He needs a life
style centered around his learning needs. Duke is a companion dog who will be
great with children; may live with another dog or even a cat. He see it all and
smiles. Duke
is a handsome white Staffie with brindle patches and a black smudge nose. He is
in good health and everybody's friend. Family and friends scared of a Staffie?
Pick your moment and introduce him and watch them fall deeply for the breed and
take to Duke as a long lost friend.

Bella & Coco | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier
Bella 3 year & Coco 1 year old, Staffie pair -
Gatwick Homing Requirements: Bella and Coco ideally should
remain as a pair but need a family who have managed bull breeds or at least 2
dogs before to give them deserved stability. They need a secure garden and exit
management. We would prefer for them not to be crated; they have the tee shirt on
that one! Their Story: Bella was owned by a young man from a
puppy; he introduced Coco to her in Dec 10 when she was 3 years old. They have
had a good relationship together. However they spent a lot of time crated
together and upon moving they began to get out of a poorly fenced garden. The
girlfriend now pregnant, didn't want them back the second time the dog warden
knocked on the door, the owner was heart broken to see them go into rescue. We
neutered them both and they are currently in emergency boarding kennels.
Advert: Bella is a sweet girl who went from being an
only fluent dog to accepting and raising little Coco as if her own puppy and
they are now are close friends. Bella could be rehomed in with another dog but
ideally we would like to find her a confident home with her true friend Coco.
They are on extender leads outside and meet dogs generally well providing their
pack leader controls the tempo. Housetrained but could do with basic training
as they haven't had a family centred around their needs in this way.
Bella is a pied white Staffie with a truly
devotional temperament, now aged 4 years. She is a good weight and the loving
licky Staffie who will shine given a decent life with care, good food and a
routine that meets her needs. Coco is Chocolate brown brindle. She is excitable
but submissive. Coco seeks affection and gives affection in bucket loads. She
would love to find a home with her dear friend Bella but we could be tempted to
part this pair for the sake of them moving into a quality home where each are
mixing with another accomplished dog. This pair is everything you could wish
for, two sweet Staffies looking for their forever home.

Geoffrey & Tony | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier
Geoffrey & Tony, Staffie brothers, DOB 09 -
Gatwick
Homing Requirements: Geoffrey and Tony have harmony
and will make wonderful pets. They need a family with patience to put the
training and house rules in with kindness and preparedness for them to make a
few mistakes as they settle. Time placed in them will pay dividends 100 fold!
Their Story: Geoffrey and Tony were found stray and
micro-chipped. They are around 2-3 years old. Their owners hadn't noticed they
were gone and didn't seem too interested in having them back. The dog warden
went all out to find rescue places for them and was delighted when we said we
would keep them together. Neutered, going through vax. and already chipped.
They are currently in boarding kennels near Gatwick and sharing a kennel.
Advert: Super pair! These 2 brothers are joined at
the hip; they have synergy and care for each other. They have only really had
each other as their owners weren’t that bothered about them. They need to be
introduced to a caring and exciting lifestyle. They would suit someone working
from home who wants to break off and go for a stroll; newly retired or shift
workers where they are left for short periods, they have each other to keep
company. Both travel well in the car providing they are together.
Geoffrey is the smaller brother, a darker
brown/brindle and smaller white chest. He is underweight and his fur is
currently scurfy. He has a feint white
badger strip down his forehead. Tony is the bigger of the lads. He is has a
bold white chest which goes through to his collar/mane. He has a white badger
strip down his forehead. He has a lighter brindle coat than his brother. He is
in good condition and a good weight. So many people get one dog and come back
thinking they would like to have/help another. Helping these 2 brothers out can
help everyone all at once! Please visit Geoffrey & Tony’s threads on our
forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra82862.php#82862

Iris | Cross Breed
Iris, Jack X Shih Tzu, DOB 10.07
– Farnham, Surrey Homing Requirements: Iris needs a terrier home who
are happy to offer her the love and attention she so responds to. She is Jack
Russell first and Shih Tzu second. Proven with young children. Care over her
recall; off-lead only in safe areas and after settlement/bonding afterall she
is a terrier! Her Story: Iris was found stray in Wales in a
dreadful state, needing emergency grooming and the shaving off of her coat. We
took her in to kennels but she wasn’t well so she went into foster with small
furries, cats and another dogs. She won through but her fosterer offered her
skills in settling her with her many animals. Homed for 2 years as an only dog
but due to a change in family circumstances she has come back to us.
Advert: Iris is the sparkle in our eyes! In her 4
years she hasn't had the stability she should. She finds herself in boarding
kennels for the second time, yet a sweeter dog you couldn't wish to meet. She
isn't a 'non dog' but has lots of bounce and character. Her housetraining is
fine with attention especially if it is raining outside! We suspect she started
out in life in a flat or being left long periods hence her toilet training was
fragile if left long periods or without free access to a garden. She loves toys
and play. She meets dogs well and is
keen on her lead but manageable. Proven with very young children.
Iris is such a pretty Jack Russell cross. She needs
regular glooming and would love to be pampered. She needs a good quality diet
with a regular routine to build her skills and support her settling. She could
easily be at the heart of a family but needs a family with heart and for her to
be the centre of their universe. Please visit Iris’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/ftopic2274-0.php

Harriet | Cross Breed
Harriet, Jack X Pug (Jug), DOB 11.09 – Gatwick, Surrey Homing Requirements: Harriet so needs a terrier
home. She is currently high energy and focused on her ball if allowed.
Unassessed in a home as yet. Definitely secure terrier-proof garden and exit
management as she is keen to follow! Her Story: Harriet was passed on to us via the
police so unsure of previous circumstance. Her chip registered to her breeder
as a Jack Russell x Pug and born 18th Nov 2009.
Harriet will be spayed this week and 1st vax'd. In boarding kennels near
Gatwick, Surrey
Advert: Harriet is fast ... like a jump jet! She is
feminine, licky and given a ball, she knows how to determinedly place it, then
tells you anxiously what your part in this game is, indeed! We are just
assessing her lead walking and mixing with other dogs outside on her walks, but
she meets dogs very well through the kennel door. Always delighted to see her
lead. Her intelligence is bright, focused and attuned to what is on offer;
food, fun, walks or love! Harriet looks just like a fawn 'Pug' but that nose
is just a tad too pointy! She also has a 'wiry' body, longer legs and a focused
mind; the look in her eye is 100% terrier. She is Jack Russell in instinct and
attitude. You are seeing one dog and witnessing something else. She runs like
the wind and would need due care leaving the house as she'd be the leader if
you let her!

Merry | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier
Merry, Staffie, DOB 01.09 – Gatwick, Surrey Homing Requirements: Merry would be a treasure to
any family. An only pet with no other pets visiting at this stage, for her own
stability. Possibility of a regular fluent dog visitor, providing this was done
carefully and her homing doesn’t rest on it. Secure garden and kept on an
extender to ensure meetings with other dogs go well until proven to be able to
cope as an off lead dog. Could live with children. Her Story: Merry was found stray on Oct 11 with a
painful eye condition. She has had 2 operations for 'Cherry eye' which has
corrected the problem and her eyes are now fine. First picture on her thread is
before her eye ops. Vax'd, and spayed.
Merry is now in boarding kennels near Gatwick, Surrey.
Advert: Merry is a small Staffie with all the
chitter chatter and licks of the Staffie. She is always happy to meet people
and would enjoy mixing with children. She meets dogs well outside and walks
with them 'chilled'. Inside she is a little defensive and so would prefer to
have her humans to herself. She may well build trust with a dog friend over
time. Poor love has had such an unsettled time of late she just needs her very
own family! She is a rare black and brindle pedigree Staffie of
small stature. She is kind, friendly and welcoming, so ready for love and
games. You can't help think this little cherub is going to find herself such a
wonderful family and home, and become that true treasure; she is destined to be
and is within our rescue.

Mia | Cross Breed
Mia, Ridgeback X(& Chico
Staffie), DOB 12.08 - Croydon, Surrey Homing Requirements: Ideally Mia
would like to be homed with her partner Chico.
The family should be able to provide for 2 dogs financially ref insurance and
general welfare. They need a secure garden. Mia will be spayed by Rescue
Remedies in March. Her Story: Mia joined Chico
when she was a puppy. Her mother was a South African Ridgeback and her father
was crossbreed. Mia and Chico's
owners are moving to a flat and cannot find a place which accepts 2 dogs (any
dog) and are broken hearted to give up their dogs. Mia and Chico
come to us on the 3rd Feb into boarding kennels. Advert: Mia has grown up with
Chico and they
have always been harmonious. They are housetrained, know "Sit, lie down,
bed, toilet, dinner & naughty! Mia is settled now as a 4 year old dog and a
pleasure to own. Generally good with dogs, but likes to run with dogs. She is a
little self protective being a unspayed bitch; if she growls, her owner shouts
NO. As soon as she knows she's not under any threat she's fine. Chico
is happy with dogs generally and loves to play ball; he no longer steals
other's footballs! Mia isn't happy in transit, whilst Chico
loves the car.
Mia is a large dog now very laid
back and easy to manage at home. Chico
is older now and just a lovely happy friendly boy who adores children and
people in general. Mia and Chico
are used to living with very young grandchildren 1-8 years old and would love
to live with young children. How

Bonzo | Cross Breed
Bonzo, Collie x bull
breed, DOB 01.10 - Farnham, Surrey Homing Requirements: Bonzo has
that shy reticent ‘rescue' dog feel as a young inexperienced dog, currently in
kennels. He needs an experienced settled family, sensitive to his needs;
patience to bring him through. He needs a family where it’s all about Bonzo and
helping Bonzo find security, reassurance and stability. His Story: Bonzo was found running
scared on a major A road. His finder took him home and in with her Staffie
bitch and put notices up and asked around for 2 days. Bonzo was fine with her
dog but her dog decided she didn't want to share mum. The finder took her into
the local vets ... long story. Later Bonzo was kept under Battersea's gaze for
7 days by the vet nurse, who took him home evenings and days off. We neutered
and chipped him and bought him into kennels when his foster place ended. Bonzo
is learning to settle in kennels and is beginning to trust strangers and enjoy
his walks. Bonzo is currently in boarding kennels in the Farnham, Surrey Area.
Advert: Bonzo is around 1
year old and just bringing his skills together leaving his impoverished
background behind. House trained and behaved in the house but of course is into
play and needs a garden to let his 'fur' down. Quite mouthy with people when
playing and needs reinforcement to commands he knows like sits, give paw and
lie down. ‘Leave’ and ‘Off’ needs further training! With dogs he wants to play
but he needs socialisation to learn to settle as he seems to want to jump on
top of them. Lead walking is picking up well. Travels well.
Bonzo is a beautiful Collie type
and has a thick coat in pastel colours with distinctive markings. His shyness
and keen intelligence, coupled with receptiveness to earning food treats also
'speaks' collie. Bonzo just needs someone with the time and patience to teach
him. He loves attention/fuss; may have had close bond with one person before,
now needs stretching to trust others.
Bonzo needs to set the pace allowing him to gain confidence and do the
approaching. In nine months time he will
be a confident all round dog of which there is no doubt! Please visit Bonzo’s thread on our
forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra80572.php#80572

Jenny | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier
Jenny, Staffie, DOB 07.08
- West Yorkshire Homing Requirements: Jenny needs a
Staffie home where she is clear of boundaries and has lots of opportunities to
explore and express her energy. Fair sized secure garden would be beneficial.
Basic training with commands so she is tutored not to leap up. To enjoy an
inclusive family home. Jenny is spayed, and vax'd. Her Story: Jenny grew up to have a
Staffie puppy join her when she was 6 months old 3 years ago and a baby who is
now crawling at 15 months old. Her owner finds she is too high energy and can
be a little cantankerous with other dogs on occasions so avoids walking her,
therefore her energy increases and she is experienced as 'too much'. Jenny
lives successfully with a cat. Jenny comes into boarding kennels on the 14th
February. Advert: Jenny has so much love to
give and so enjoys giving it. She can be a little gushing as Staffies can. An
active life style is her key to balancing her available energies. She will
always be enthusiastic and friendly and is all the better for being Jenny.
Jenny on the whole meets dogs well and was up until recently an off lead dog.
She enjoys playing with her Staffie partner and they have never had a cross
word. She is happy around the family cat. The new baby has taken a lot of her
routine walks away and she misses her former life style.
Jenny is a beautiful pedigree
Staffie. She is lively and enjoys meeting and greeting new people. She only
needs to regain her exercise time and her energy will begin to settle as she is
reaching her fourth birthday. We are hoping a home will come up soon for Jenny,
but if not we are longing to meet her and help her through rescue and into her
new family. She comes into kennels on the 14th February. Please visit Jenny’s thread on our

Robbie | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier
Robbie, Staffie, DOB ?03 – Farnham Homing Requirements: Robbie will suit a family who
now want to offer a Staffie a home as he will suit a first time Staffie family
though dog experience would mean it isn't all resting on his shoulders. Would
love a secure garden and part time hours only please. His Story: Robbie was found stray with a bald
patch on his back which could be a past burn or malnutrition. Robbie has a very
sweet nature, is a little reserved but settles and welcomes the outstretched
loving hand. Now neutered, vax'd and chipped.

Advert: Robbie is about 8 years old. He is a
solid stable character. He meets the majority of dogs well but can get spooked
by certain dogs and yet is easily distracted and moved on. As Robbie’s
confidence improves he may come off lead but for now he is easy to manage on an
extender and keeps nicely by your side if you wish. Robbie travels well in the
car and in fact is really settled. He isn't highly emotional so not barky or
whiney. Robbie is in boarding kennels near Farnham.
Robbie is a slightly taller Staffie with a warm
golden and tan brindle coat. Endearing features with his button eyes which
currently carry sadness. He is in good health. If you are looking for a good
mannered dog who has 'life and play' in him but steady energy, Robbie would be
easily accommodated in most families. Robbie needs his forever family and a
lucky family they will be! "Please note this dog is currently in boarding

Hunter | Lurcher
Hunter is a young Lurcher probably only around a
year old. He's good with dogs and children. Hunter is very good on the lead
and is described by the kennel staff as a "very placid boy who is very
friendly". This boy really is adorable. He has an amusing habit of plonking
his bum on your knee to get as close to you as possible. Hunter was difficult
to photograph as he wanted to keep going to say 'hello' to the photographer. A
lovely lad who really will make a smashing family pet. Video and more photos -

Jake | Greyhound
Jake is a five year old black male greyhound. He's
switches betweeen being excited to see you and out of his kennel when he sees a
lead to not really knowing what to do when you give him a cuddle and some love.
This is quite common with ex-racing Greyhounds. Jake is a full pedigree
Greyhound (this can be traced from his ear tattoos and is shown on Greyhound
data http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?rt=et<=stv&sex=m&color=&birthyear=&birthland).
His racing name was Lukayva. Jake was born in Ireland in October 2006 and raced
11 times in Birmingham in 2009 but as he's turned up in rescue kennels he is now
sadly be an unwanted asset. Can you offer this gentle boy the retirement home
which will enable him to gain his confidence, learn how to play and enjoy
cuddles? Greyhounds make such wonderful pets given a bit of time and TLC. Jake

Bonnie | Labrador Cross
Bonnie is a one year old Labrador cross. She's a
shy girl as she's had a tough start in life so will be a bit nervy when you
approach her until she realises you won't hurt her. Bonnie would benefit from
an owner who is experienced to help bring on her confidence. A lovely girl!

Hendrix | Alsatian / German Shepherd
Hendrix is a German Shepherd cross who is two years
old. He was incredibly nervous when he arrived but he's starting to settle
now. Hendrix will bark to keep you away initially but a few gentle words and
dog treats and he's in your arms loving the attention and affectionate. We'd
ideally like an experienced GSD owner for him. A beautiful boy who really
deserves a loving home. Photos and video http://s376.photobucket.com/albums/oo210/nikmurphy/Lincoln%20Dogs/Hendrix/ RSPCA
