We are a new rescue, helping unwanted Greyhounds from the racing circuits and dog pounds.

Due to the sheer amount of dogs bred to find that premier racing dog - lots end up being not suitable for racing and unless we find them homes they are at risk of being put to sleep.  There is nothing wrong with the health of dog, they are just not good enough to make the elite few for racing.  We always have greyhounds looking for homes sometimes even young puppies.  Please call Wendy for further details 07766124364 after 6pm

We don't have a centre ourselves, we get given a list of dogs that may be put to sleep unless we find a new home, a temporary foster home or a rescue centre anywhere in the UK willing to take them. All the dogs are speyed, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

To continue with our vital work we ask for a donation of £120 for the dog, so we can rescue others waiting to come in. This pays for transportation throughout the UK, neutering and medical bills for that or other dogs needing attention and emergency boarding when needed.

Missy | Lurcher

Missy is a ten month old Lurcher.  She's a very gentle girl who is ok with cats, dogs and kids.  Missy is currently living in a foster home at South Hykeham, Lincoln.  She's fully house trained, knows basic commands and is a very polite little girl.  Missy is still very much a puppy.  Enjoys plenty of exercise, is very playful and will benefit from a home who can continue with basic training and give her the extra attention and exercise a big puppy needs and deserves.  Missy can be a little timid with anyone new and other new animals so would also benefit from a home where someone is prepared to do more work on her socialisation skills.  She's currently enjoying learning to play with the resident young Lurcher in her current foster home and starting to relax and enjoy herself.  Missy has come to us from another home who have had to give her up because they've moved into a rented property where dogs are not allowed.   Video - http://s592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/dorisbanham/Missy/

Star | Greyhound

Star is a four year old ex racer who was handed in because her owner has retired from racing.  He's a happy boy who cannot be rehomed with cats or small furries because of his racing background.  Star has a very unusual 'snowflake' coat.  If you look closely at the photo you'll see he is a black dog covered in white snowflakes.  A really lovely boy who will make a great pet.  He very much enjoyed being around a ten year old boy he had just met, enjoying cuddles and leaning against him for more affection.  Star could be rehomed with a female dog.  More photos and a video -   http://s592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/dorisbanham/Wendys%20Greyhounds/Star/

Mandy | Greyhound

Mandy is a five year old girl who came from the dog pound.  Mandy isn't fond of bouncy excitable dogs but we think she would be fine rehomed with a calmer male dog. At the time of taking the video and photos she was clearly a little nervous, visibly trembling with her tail tucked high between her legs.  This isn't normally the case so we are unsure if it was meeting and being photographed by strangers that made her a little uneasy or the fact that the kennels were very noisy with dogs barking at the time.  Ordinarily she is a very happy and confident girl who is very loving and will be a wonderful addition to any family.  More photos and a video -http://s592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/dorisbanham/Wendys%20Greyhounds/Mandy/

Rosie | Greyhound

Rosie is a black 3 year old greyhound taken from the pound. We have no information on her but she was absolutely fine with a three month pup jumping all over her today and loved getting some fuss from two older children.

Despite just coming out of the pound, she was calm and collected. A confident girl who wasn’t timid despite her ordeal. We have so many black greyhounds in our care at the moment, please come and visit us. Nobody wants black greys as they tend to choose the more popular colours so some of our greys have been with us many many months. Please give them a chance.

Please contact Wendy on 07766124364 or Karen on 07857066323.

Millie | Greyhound

Millie was found as a stray and ended up in the pound.  We therefore don't have any background information on her. From her tattoos we know she is 18 months old.  She is very friendly and just a happy bouncy girl with the most unusual facial markings which stand her apart from many other black and white Greyhounds. Millie is playful and a confident girl who is also very good with other dogs.  Millie is in kennels at Treswell, 20 minutes from Lincoln and just off the A1.  Please call Wendy on 07766124364 to arrange to meet this beautiful girl.
