HULA
ANIMAL RESCUE

HULA
Animal Rescue is a registered charity (No. 1094115) and was
founded in 1972.
The Sanctuary takes in unwanted and abandoned
animals from as far afield as the Home Counties & the Midlands.
It provides temporary shelter for dogs, cats & small animals
until such time as new homes can be found.
The charity has a
non-destruction policy as long as the animal is healthy & has a
quality of life.
It also provides long term care to a variety
of farm animals, ducks, geese and chickens.
All the
animals at HULA receive first class care and a veterinary surgeon
visits the centre on a regular basis.
Before the dogs and cats
go out to new homes they are neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
Since
the Sanctuary was opened over 31,000 animals have been helped.
This has only been possible due to the generosity of the general
public, as the charity receives no state funding.
HULA is
open to the public for viewing and applications,
every Friday,
Saturday and Sunday between 1pm and 3pm plus some Bank Holidays -
please telephone to confirm.
We hold
two Fetes per year with many attractions plus monthly Open Days
when visitors can see the rescued pets awaiting adoption, feed the
ponies, goats, pigs, cows, donkeys and sheep.
They can find a
bargain in our Charity Bazaar, Jumble & Book Store and enjoy
our home-made refreshments.
HULA
also has a Charity shop in Woburn Sands which sells nearly new
clothing and bric-a-brac.
Our stock is regularly rotated and there
are always fantastic bargains to be found.
ALL
PROCEEDS ARE FOR THE CARE AND WELFARE OF HULA’s RESCUED ANIMALS.
For
enquiries please ring 01908 584000 - phones are manned between 1pm &
3pm daily with an answerphone at all other times.
